The community is invited to take part in this year’s National Family Day Care family fun day at Bundaberg PCYC.
Held during National Family Day Care Week the family fun day will help to promote the important role educators and local services play in the development and wellbeing of children.
Southern Cross Family Day Care manager Nicole Hall is busily organising the event for the 10th anniversary of National Family Day Care Week during 2-8 May.
Nicole said the theme this year would be Exploration, Imagination and Creation, and she hoped the day would connect families to a number of community services in a fun environment.
She said it was an opportunity for local services to engage and build relationships within the local community.
“This is similar to the Rainbow Day event that is held in Bundaberg each year,” Nicole said.
“It will give services like Bush Kids and Bundaberg Toy Library the chance to show families what they have to offer.
“We would like to have more groups and services register to attend.
“It’s a free family fun day with lots of kids’ activities and gift bags on offer.”
National Family Day Care Week is about recognising and promoting the important role family day care educators and services play in the development and wellbeing of more than 94,000 children across Australia.
National Family Day Care family fun day will be held on Wednesday 4 May from 9.30 am – 11.30 am at Bundaberg PCYC.
Nicole said organisations interested in attending the family fun day at the Bundaberg PCYC could register by emailing admin@scfdc.com.au. For more information phone 4153 5887.
