With Christmas holidays just around the corner, Bundaberg Regional Council would like to remind residents of changed operating hours to a number of its facilities.
From next week and up until after the festive break, opening hours will be altered at a number of facilities including Alexandra Park Zoo, Bundaberg Regional Libraries, Hinkler Hall of Aviation and more.
Mayor Jack Dempsey said while facilities would be closed on Christmas Day, many will still operate over public holidays, providing families with plenty to see and do during the festive break.
“Christmas is about family and friends, spending valued time together and looking forward to the future,” he said.
“It’s a time to shine a light on what’s good in our community, to celebrate our togetherness, family and friendships.
“While you spend some time with your loved ones this festive break, pop in to some of our amazing Council facilities, which are sure to provide a great day out in our region for all.
“On behalf of Bundaberg Regional Council, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.”
