The Moncrieff stage will be set for Adam Brand, one of Australia’s most popular and successful country recording artists, when he performs in the region this month.
With the Queensland borders being forced to close due to COVID-19, artists based in NSW and Victoria have been unable to honour their Queensland tour dates which has provided the perfect opportunity for Adam to visit the region.
The much-loved country music performer has enjoyed a successful career over the years, releasing 14 studio albums and being named winner of 12 Country Music Awards.
Council’s Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said it was a great opportunity for the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre to host an artist of Adam’s calibre.
“Adam Brand is one of Australia’s leading country music artists and we are lucky to have an artist of his calibre performing in Bundaberg,” Cr Learmonth said.
“Like most performers, since the COVID pandemic and ongoing lockdowns, Adam has rarely performed so we’re glad we are able to present him to our wonderful audiences.”
Adam Brand’s songs resonate as much with people from the suburbs as they do with those from regional and rural Australia.
The real key to his popularity is that he conjures up different feelings in different people and these feelings remain with listeners long after the last note.
A stellar career spanning twenty years has seen Adam nominated for multiple ARIA Awards, win 12 Golden Guitars, sell over 600,000 CDs and DVDs, as well as earn three platinum and five gold albums.
As a fan favourite, he has won a record seven CMC OZ Artist of the Year awards.
