A showroom and warehouse for an air conditioning and refrigeration business has been proposed for development off the Johanna Boulevard precinct.
Bundaberg Regional Council recently received a Material Change of Use for Commercial Activity C (Showroom) and Industry Light (Warehouse and Electrical goods repair), lodged by Insite SJC.
The proposal highlights plans for a development on a vacant site at 27 Maria Street to facilitate Cooltech, a locally owned and operated air conditioning and refrigeration company.
The business services both commercial and domestic clientele.
The proposed development features a site area of 2186 square metres with 19 parking spaces, including one designated disabled parking bay.
Designed by Tom O’Malley Architects, the modern building would include a mix of façade treatments finished in corporate colours if approved.
The application highlights features of the Cooltech building, including an office and reception area, showroom display area and workbench within the warehouse for equipment repair.
If the development is approved, the business would operate between the hours of 7.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to noon on Saturdays.
The site would have 24/7 access for staff to complete emergency repairs of equipment.
The business features 16 full time staff with five staff on-site and 11 on the road and at project sites.
