New shade sails are set to be installed at the Kookaburra Estate Park in Bundaberg North and will be completed in time for the school holidays.
The work will commence on Tuesday, 18 May and continue until Tuesday, 22 June, weather permitting.
The park was constructed last year as part of Bundaberg Regional Council’s Parks Capital Works Program for 2019 – 2020.
As the new location of the playground does not receive natural shade from existing trees, a shade sail will be installed to cover all of the play equipment.
For the safety of the community the Kookaburra Estate Park playground will be closed during the installation of the shade sail.
