The Cane2Coral event will be further supported thanks to funding from Bundaberg Regional Council to the Apex Club of Bundaberg.

The Apex Club of Bundaberg has been awarded funding by Bundaberg Regional Council in support of the 2021 Cane2Coral event.

The funding allocation was approved at the March 30 Ordinary Meeting, with $10,000 going towards the event as part of Council’s Partnerships and Sponsorships Grant Program.

Bundaberg Region Mayor Jack Dempsey said Council was proud to assist with funding of such an integral community event.

“The Cane2Coral Fun Run, to be held on Sunday 1 August, is a well-established community event which not only provides a healthy lifestyle event for the community but has also raised over $530,000 for local charities,” he said.

“The event is designed to cater to a wide range of people and has attracted over 20,000 participants since its inception.

“Council is proud to be involved in supporting the Cane2Coral.”

The sponsorship grant will provide the Apex Club of Bundaberg with funding to assist with event promotion and operational costs.
