Auswide Bank has made Apple Pay available to their customers as part of its digital strategy.
Apple Pay helps customers avoid handing their payment card to someone else, touching physical buttons or exchanging cash.
Managing director Martin Barrett said Apple Pay is an exciting addition to Auswide Bank’s services and reinforces their commitment to customers, while delivering a key outcome from their Digital Strategy and Three Year Strategic Plan.
“In addition to meeting the needs of our digital savvy customers, Apple Pay also offers Security and Privacy features, which our more security conscious customers may desire,” Mr Barrett said.
Customers simply hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near a payment terminal to make a contactless payment.
Every Apple Pay purchase is secure because it is authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode, as well as a one-time unique dynamic security code.
Apple Pay is accepted in grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, and many more places.
Any new or existing customers with an Auswide Bank Visa Debit Card or Low Rate Visa Credit Card are now eligible to use Apple Pay on applicable Apple devices.
This includes both Full Access and Limited Access Visa Debit Cards, available with Transaction and Business Accounts, Mortgage Offset Accounts and Cash Management Accounts.
