Multi-award winning country music artists Amber Lawrence and Catherine Britt are bringing their new Love and Lies Tour 2021 to the Bucca Hotel on 6 February.
After the aberration that was 2020, the gifted performers are hitting the road together again for their second Love and Lies Tour which kicks off at the Bucca Hotel and continues throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.
The good friends have more in common than country music, being two of the most successful and consistent female artists on the Australian music scene.
Both are mothers of toddlers, have hosted national radio programs and know a thing or two about working hard and living life to the fullest, and that work ethic and vibrancy will on show at the Bucca Hotel for county music lovers to enjoy.
Amber recently released her second children’s album ‘The Kid’s Gone Country II’ as well as the isolation collaboration single ‘True Blue’ with Aleyce Simmonds, Kirsty Lee Akers and Dianna Corcoran, and last year released the No.1 duet ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ with West Virginia outfit Davisson Brothers Band.
She assured Bundaberg Region punters that the Bucca show would be one to remember.
“After a tough 2020 for everyone, we are so excited to be putting a big show back on the road,” she said.
“We have a full band and are bringing all our hits and favourite songs to make sure we have a great night – we sure deserve it!”
Catherine, who released her new album ‘Home Truths’ on 15 January, was just as eager about hitting the stage with Amber at Bucca.
“Amber and I have been so looking forward to 2021 and getting out on the road again to play shows for you with new music and a whole new enthusiasm for gigs,” Catherine said.
“I love touring with Amber and I can’t wait to hit the road again for Love and Lies 2.”
The release of ‘Home Truths’ represents a new beginning for Catherine as it is her first in her 20-plus year career to be released independently.
Catherine has performed and recorded with some of music’s biggest names including Sir Elton John, Dolly Parton, Don McLean, Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers, Keith Urban and Chris Isaak.
Added to Catherine’s gratitude to be touring again is the fact that she is now five years’ cancer free after being diagnosed with breast cancer at just 30 years of age before being successfully treated at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
Amber and Catherine will be supported on the night by popular Bundaberg country music performer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Lavender.
The show gets under way at 6pm and tickets are available via Oztix.
