Morgan is a young Australian Cattle Dog cross who was born deaf and is now looking for a caring and patient owner to give her a forever home.
The one-year-old pup struggles to understand and connect with people because of her hearing difficultly.
But Red Collar Rescue says Morgan proves that “you don’t have to be perfect to be special”.
“She has a lovely nature and being of small stature is quite the pocket rocket,” Red Collar Rescue said.
“She needs a securely fenced yard as obviously there is no recall, and preferably another dog to give her companionship.
“She will happily chase shadows, or bugs in the grass for hours.
“She is young, and still needs time to grow into her mature brain, so a gentle and patient carer is imperative.
“She’s not perfect, but she’s perfect for someone.”
In addition to being born deaf Morgan has also displayed some OCD traits.
“She requires someone with the patience and persistence to train her to listen and understand,” Red Collar Rescue said.
Morgan can be adopted for $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, wormed and heartworm treated.
She would best suit a home with no young children.
