Explore the world in Outdoor Art Room

Join in the fun of the Outdoor Art Room program at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery Park in January.

Join Dottie Lottie and her sister Messy Myrtle as ‘Explorers of the World’ at the Outdoor Art Room program in Bundaberg in January.

The sisters will host a packed program of school holiday art play fun for all the family at the Bundaberg Regional Council event.

Outdoor Art Room will be conducted over three busy weeks at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery Park, 1 Barolin Street, from January 4-22, Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm.

Outdoor Art Room activities schedule:

Week 1 (January 4-8): Everything is Interesting

Make your own ‘Goggles of Enhanced Perception’, help us work on our collaborative artwork, and explore a ‘boring’ mystery object using drawing media – you’ll be surprised at how ‘un-boring’ that object really is!

Week 2 (January 11-15): Proceed with Curiosity

Explore collections by rearranging and organising objects in our ‘Loose Bits’ space, make an artist’s book with some simple printmaking techniques, and have a go at our mystery drawing bags.

Week 3 (January 18-22): Expect the Unexpected

Build a sculpture in our ‘Loose Bits’ space, make a drawing of the park using our viewfinders, and bring your own white T-shirt to have a go at some basic tie-dying.

Bookings are not required to participate in the Outdoor Art Room and entry is free.

Please note there is a limited capacity for activities due to COVID-safe requirements and participants may be required to wait if activities are at capacity and for social distancing purposes.
