Alumni of the Year

Year 3 Teacher of the Year winner, Dr Therese Ryan, has been based in Bundaberg for more than 15 years and says it has been an immense pleasure to have been teaching at UQRCS since 2012.
“This was a lovely surprise as there are many excellent Year 3 teachers associated with UQRCS Bundaberg,” Dr Ryan said.
“The transition from phase one (mostly pre-clinical) to phase two (clinical) learning can be a challenging time for students, making this one of the important aspects of assisting the third year students.
“Teaching keeps me energised and contemporary in my clinical practice. These are the future clinicians who will potentially care for me.”
This year, 27 students completed the clinical training component of UQ’s Doctor of Medicine program at UQRCS Bundaberg.
