The first peek inside the newly renovated Bargara Beach Hotel has revealed the stunning coastal design for the popular venue, officially opened today.
Hanging ferns, pastel tones and timber features are the standout attributes of the modern new look.
Bargara Beach Hotel opened its doors at 10 am this morning, just in time for the community to enjoy the beautiful summer weather by the coast.
General manager Greg Felgate said the grand opening was highly anticipated within the community.
The popular Bargara hotel, located on the corner of See and Bauer Streets, will now breathe a new life back into the coastal community, after a devastating fire caused significant damage to the historic hotel in July last year.
After only 18 months the hotel has been completely revamped with considerable changes to the setting and atmosphere.
The rebuild started in January. Artist impressions were slowly being released of the various areas, showing the lavish design which Greg says will help bring Bargara back to life.
Greg said the pub will be the place to go for locals and tourist alike, catering for all occasions with diverse areas including a sports bar and cafe.
The open deck offers alfresco dining, in a relaxed atmosphere with ocean views, Greg said it would be the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The Double Shot Cafe, a modern open café is described as the place to be seen, will keep its doors open from 10am till at night.
Bargara Beach Hotel is ideal for catching up with friends, and with the new R and W’s Kingdom play area its perfect for families.
“The combined beer garden and child’s play area, along with a beautiful deck where everyone can sit and take in the coastal lifestyle of Bargara,” Greg said.
“Bargara Beach Hotel will deliver something no other venue in the Wide Bay has to offer.”
R and W’s Kingdom is an adventure park that is sure to keep the little ones from boredom as they explore in the fun and safe outdoor environment.
The venue will hold up to 500 patrons compared with the previous 300-person capacity.
Annie’s Wine Bar and Cocktail Lounge has been named after Anne Daly, who was a director of the company, and in the industry for more than 40 years. Anne’s sons Grant and Paul Daly are now the directors.
Bargara Beach Hotel’s adjoining accommodation has also had a makeover.
Greg said the refurbished motel now offers 12 modern rooms, which are all fully air-conditioned and would offer more accommodation in the popular Bargara area.
The new Bargara Beach Hotel was designed by builder Paynters, who have an award-winning, 60-year history in the building industry.
