Lady Musgrave Experience is expanding and recruiting new staff in a show of confidence in the region’s tourism industry.
The iconic experience, which operates from the Bundaberg Port Marina, will be launching its new three-level pontoon on Lady Musgrave Lagoon later this year.
Lady Musgrave HQ will feature an underwater observatory and accommodation for people to catch an amazing view of the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
Managing Director Brett Lakey said job numbers would depend on travel bookings.
“The expansion of the Lady Musgrave HQ is opening up a number of positions with approximately 12 FTE roles being added to the Lady Musgrave Experience team,” he said.
“The expansion will ensure we continue our high levels of acclaimed guest service aboard our vessels, providing the best experience on the Great Barrier Reef.
“With expanding services aboard the Lady Musgrave HQ Pontoon, remote Great Barrier Reef diving experiences and a host of new Great Barrier Reef experiences being planned we need a highly talented guest-focused team to help us expand our services accordingly.”
Mr Lakey said the business had appreciated support from local residents and Queenslanders during pandemic restrictions.
“Lady Musgrave Experience on the Great Barrier Reef is available direct out of Bundaberg and should be on everyone’s bucket list,” he said.
“With an extensive COVID safe plan, warmer weather and a brilliant day out, make sure you invite all your friends and family to the region for this festive season to enjoy the brand new Lady Musgrave HQ pontoon experience.”
Available positions include cruise attendants, dive instructors, master of vessels, coxswain/master, marine biologists and booking/office staff.
