Two-year-old Chevy is currently available for adoption at Bundaberg RSPCA and is looking for the perfect family.
Described as a goofy ball of fluff, Chevy is a two-year-old kelpie cross Siberian husky, and while he looks like neither breed exhibits the best of both worlds.
At just two-year-old, he’s still very much just a puppy looking for guidance and is easily excited.
That excitement means he’ll need plenty of exercise and will suit someone who enjoys walking or bike riding and is after a workout partner.
Be warned though, huskies are of known for their escape artist antics and Chevy is no exception. A dig-proof, six-foot high colorbond fence is advisable to ensure this Harry Houdini stays within his perimeter.
Being part kelpie, Chevy also has an active mind (perfect of training) and will create his own fun if you don’t provide it for him, so investing in good quality toys and enrichment items will help to keep him occupied.
A gentle and affectionate dog, Chevy would love some older kids to race around with and join in their games, but he isn’t always aware of his own strength or enthusiasm, so it’s critical to supervise all interactions with children under 10.
