You may have heard of dinner theatre but have you heard of improvised dinner cabaret with a Christmas twist?
What’s The Score Christmas Cabaret will be doing just that when they bring their show to H2O Restaurant & Bar on Saturday, 14 December.
Manager Marcus Sorbello said they were excited to be the first venue to bring dinner cabaret to Bundaberg, and even more excited to offer something eclectic and different.
“We have an amazing outlook over the river and a fantastic new menu, so we thought why not put on a show to celebrate all these things and the amazing year that was 2019,” Mr Sorbello said.
“Not only will guests be treated to complementary wine on arrival and a three-course dinner, but diners will love getting involved to create a night and show that is unique to the people in the room.”
Will you witness an opera about the discovery of Santa’s twin sister, a hip-hop battle between competing Christmas pudding companies or a jazz-soaked cabaret in a rehabilitation unit for elves? The choice will be entirely up to the audience.
Performers and musicians will take any idea, Christmas themed of course, and transform them into spontaneous songs, right before your eyes.
“The audience gets to provide the core ingredients – a setting, a musical style and the title of the show and songs,” Mr Sorbello said.
What’s the Score players will present full songs, snazzy choreography and fascinating characters in a story that’s never been seen before.
Mr Sorbello said Christmas Cabaret guests were welcome to join them for pre-dinner drinks in the cocktail bar from 5pm, with seating for the show from 6pm.
Tickets are $110 and are available from Burnett Riverside Reception or online at Eventbrite or through the Facebook Event on H2o Restaurant & Bar page. Group discounts are also available.
