The Playhouse Theatre will host a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical not to be missed as Mary Poppins lands on stage in December.
This Mary Poppins musical extravaganza is Bundaberg Players’ last performance in what has been an action-packed 2019.
It will be directed by Bex Hutchins and Belinda Arnold, with musical direction by Christopher Arnold.
Bex said lovers of the movie will love the stage musical.
“The out of control Banks children need a new nanny,” Bex said.
“A mysterious young woman appears who is the answer to the family’s prayers, but in the most peculiar way and, just like in the movie, audiences will love Mary Poppins.
“The cast have been working so hard and I’m so impressed with the behind-the-scenes team equally.
“The costumes will be spectacular and the set really rather incredible for our space. It really is community theatre at its best, not just what is on stage.”
A chance to feel the magic of Mary Poppins at Playhouse Theatre
Assistant Director Belinda Arnold invites Bundaberg audiences to be part of the magic.
“Mary Poppins takes the children on magical and memorable adventures, but even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that ‘anything can happen if you let it’ and we invite Bundaberg audiences to come along for the ride,” Belinda added.
There will be seven performances from 6 to 14 December, but tickets are selling fast with both the Saturday and Sunday matinees already sold out.
“It’s sure to be a sellout … so we’d encourage people to book early.” Bex said.
