Westpac Bank is keeping business in the Bundaberg CBD with news of its relocation just announced.
The busy bank will move from its current location at 100 Bourbong Street to a new space just a short distance away at 120 Bourbong Street by 4 December 2019.
It’s the site which was once home to Chemist Warehouse before the pharmacy shifted to a bigger location in the CBD late last year.
A Westpac Bank spokesperson said the relocation was a positive for the region, providing many benefits for staff and customers alike.
“Westpac’s new Bundaberg branch has been designed to provide an enhanced experience for both customers and employees,” the spokesperson said.
“It will feature an open, flexible layout and improved technology to help make banking simpler and faster for our customers, including 24-hour access to business deposits, coin machines and smart ATMs.”
The bank has had a long history in the CBD, operating from its current site for more than 145 years.
A Westpac spokesperson said the new location would enable the bank to provide upgrades and improvements for its customers.
“The site provides us with a great opportunity to improve the service we offer locally and is close to parking and amenities,” the spokesperson said.
“We look forward to welcoming our Bundaberg customers to our new branch in December.”
