Jayteens Park in Bargara will soon be transformed in to a mecca for car lovers when the Auto Mazing Show n Shine event hits the region in October 2019.
The event, organised through Rum City Rods and Customs, will be held on October 6 and will feature a range of hotted up vehicles from around the region and beyond.
Committee member Cherry Gaffel said hot rods would be travelling from across Queensland to feature in the show with about 200 vehicles expected to be on display.
“The event usually attracts a variety of hot rods, American and Aussie muscle cars, classic cars, vintage, veteran, harleys, vintage bikes and caravans,” she said.
“Other than the car display, entertainment will include tappet cover racing, match box car racing for the kids, a jumping castle, limited traders, barbecue, soft drinks, water, coffee and an icecream van.”
Cherry said the event had a long history in the region and was first established within the old Sugarland shopping centre car park many years ago.
“It changed over to Bargara in 2011 and has been held there every year since then,” she said.
“This event is great to attend for the variety of vehicles, it’s right beside the beach and it is supporting Sailability and Rum City Rods and Customs Inc.”

Cherry said entries were still open for those wanting to display their vehicles at the event.
“Anyone with a suitable vehicle just needs to turn up on the day between 7 am and 8.45 am,” she said.
“The cost for entrants or spectators is just a gold coin donation.”
The Auto Mazing Show n Shine Show will be held in Jayteens Park, Bargara Beach (adjacent to Nielsen Park) on Sunday, 6 October 2019 from 9 am to 1 pm.
