Bundaberg PCYC was packed full of entertainment and action on Saturday for the second Bundy Pop Mania event celebrating pop culture in the region.
Everybody’s favourite superheroes, including Captain America, Jeannie from I Dream of Genie and Obi-Wan Kenobi were out in force, giving community members a chance to believe they were in Hollywood for a moment.
The event was held for the first-time last year and after a popular response returned to wow the crowds.
Young and old were delighted as they strolled through Artist’s Alley and witnessed behind the scenes special FX Make-up demonstrations and had a chance to take a selfie or two with a much-loved character.
Attending Bundy Pop Mania, Bundaberg Regional Councillor Scott Rowleson said he was blown away by the event, which proved the love for superheroes in the Bundaberg Region was stronger than ever.
“I was excited to see that the world of superheroes is still alive and well and that a little piece of that came to Bundaberg today,” Cr Rowleson said
“It was great to see people from far and wide come to the Bundaberg Region and enjoy everything that was on offer, as well as sharing in their passion for a bit of cosplay or their favourite pop culture superhero.
“Who needs Hollywood or Comic-Con, when you have Pop Mania right here in Bundaberg!”
