Next week Bundaberg Police will hold a community forum at Moore Park Beach.
This is one of a series of forums being held across the area and is a great opportunity to meet your local police, raise community safety concerns and ask questions.
Queensland Police Service representatives will be on hand to cover topics from road safety, crime trends, crime prevention, general duty policing and many more.
Senior Sergeant Michael said it will be an ideal time to meet officers from the recently formed Vulnerable Persons Unit which handles domestic violence, mental health and other issues involving vulnerable persons.
“I am looking forward to hearing from community members and working together to maximise opportunities to enhance community safety,” Senior Sergeant Michael said.
“This is your opportunity to talk face to face with local police about local issues.”
Bundaberg Regional Council divisional representative Cr Jason Bartels welcomed the police community forum and said it was a great initiative.
“These types of forums have always been really well received in the Moore Park Beach area,” Cr Bartels said.
“I commend the police for conducting further forums, it’s fantastic.
“If previous attendance numbers are anything to go I think it will be really well attended.”
