There will be plenty of fun to keep the kids entertained at next weekend’s Childers Festival, with events and attractions galore on offer.

Bundaberg Regional Council community and cultural services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said magician Glen Rhodes will be back to wow the crowds as he meanders through the festival next Sunday.

“Glen is a terrific sleight-of-hand magician and has a warm charm and lively sense of humour that will keep everyone, from children to adults, engaged,” Cr Peters said.

“He mingles with the crowds and keeps the laughter and amazement happening throughout the day.

“Make sure you keep a close eye on him, you never know what Glen will pull out of his hat, or sleeve, or ear!”

Childers Festival roving entertainment

Cr Peters said both stage and roving entertainers performing on the day will add to the varied and jam-packed entertainment program, keeping children of all ages entertained for hours on end.

“The Manoeuvre Stilt Performers will be roaming around on festival day,” Cr Peters said.

“These highly trained and talented walkers are definitely a sight and put on a great show while dancing through the crowd.

“They stimulate the imagination, offering playful and interactive experiences to audiences of any size.”

Local performers the Bundaberg PCYC Blazers will also show off their talent on the day with traditional lion and dragon dancing.
