Bundaberg woman Lisa Hriljac has raised $25,000 for local charity groups and community organisations through her events company, Just 4 Fun Entertainment.

Lisa has been working in the hospitality entertainment industry for over a decade, and 18 months ago took the bold step to dive full time into working for herself, rebranding and expanding her business Just 4 Fun Entertainment.

It didn’t take her long to become a big name in the industry, with venues stretching from the Gold Coast to Townsville and employing 13 staff.

Her company specialises in music bingo, trivia and corporate events.

It was through these events that Lisa saw an opportunity to combine her business platform and services with local charity and community groups – and she has successfully raised over $25,000 in the past year.

Neuroblastoma Foundation

It all started when a local Gin Gin girl, Jillian Ellis, decided to fundraise for the Neuroblastoma Foundation after a friend was diagnosed with the disease.

“We were able to assist in raising over $5300 for the Neuroblastoma Foundation through hosting a music bingo and trivia fundraiser at the Metro Hotel in Bundaberg,” Lisa said.

“Our fundraisers are always a hit, and it is so great to see locals and local businesses get together to support each other and great causes.”

Once the word got out about the success and just how fun the events were, fundraising enquiries started flooding in.

“Just 4 Fun Entertainment have hosted 13 fundraisers in the past 12 months, with charities and groups including the AEIOU Foundation, Cancer Council, a number of local school’s P&C groups; we even held a fundraiser to help restore the Booyal Memorial Hall as part of their centennial celebrations,” Lisa said.

“There is such a massive amount of work and effort that goes in to organising and hosting the events, but it is all worth it when you see their faces when they find out the totals.

“We already have another six fundraising events for 2019, so hopefully we can hit the $40,000 mark by Christmas.”

Just 4 Fun Entertainment runs regular music bingo and trivia events throughout Bundaberg at the Metropolitan Hotel, The Brothers Club and Club Bargara on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6.30pm.
