Lifeline Bookfest Bundaberg from 29-31 March provides a wonderful opportunity to snap up a bargain and expand the home library.
The big secondhand book sale will be held at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct, University Drive, from 8am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday, 8am to 2pm on Sunday.
Lifeline says you’re bound to find a great read among the thousands of books on offer this year – and pick up some bargain-priced clothing as well.
“It’s bookworm bliss in Bundaberg with table upon table overflowing with hardcovers and paperbacks from 50 cents each,” a spokesperson said.
“Don’t forget to check out the $2 clothing sale and stop for a bite in the cafe.
“We have thousands of quality, pre-loved books up for grabs.
“You’ll find paperbacks and hardbacks, fiction and non-fiction, romance, reference books, cookbooks, children’s books, books on health and family, crafts and hobbies, puzzles and games, CDs, DVDS and much more.
“We also have quality, pre-loved clothing on sale for just $2 a pop.
“And our amazing Lifeline telephone counsellors will be running a sausage sizzle and cafe, with coffee, tea and snacks. Entry is free and we take cash and card.”

Lifeline welcomes book donations. People can donate at the Lifeline Bookfest Bundaberg by looking out for one of the volunteers, or any time at the Lifeline Superstore.
The fundraiser supports the Lifeline telephone counselling service.
This life-saving service offers suicide prevention and bereavement support over the telephone as well as family and crisis support — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
