Endeavour Foundation Bundaberg needs enthusiastic volunteers to pick flowers for its popular Mother’s Day fundraising sale.
Volunteering responsibilities include:
- Picking and harvesting flowers;
- Stripping leaves from harvested flower stems
- Bunching and arranging flower bouquets.
Sunscreens, secateurs, gloves and training will be provided, along with morning tea and lunch.
Endeavour Foundation is a national organisation with more than 5000 staff and volunteers, providing support and services to people with a disability in over 300 locations.
At Bundaberg, about 6000 chrysanthemum plants go in each year to make 9000 bunches of flowers.
Volunteer flower pickers will be required 29 April to 12 May at any available times between 6.30am and 3.30pm.
A national criminal history check is required.
