Community members looking to change their career or sharpen their skills are invited to take their job hunt to the Bundaberg Careers Expo at the Bundaberg Multiplex on 8 May.

This free event is a chance for likeminded job seekers to connect with leading employers, education providers and registered training organisations all under one roof.

More than 80 exhibitors have registered from local businesses, education institutions and registered training organisations across the region to offer advice and support for people at all stages of their employment journey.

Bundaberg Mayor Helen Blackburn said the Bundaberg Careers Expo was an exciting opportunity for community members find out about job opportunities they may not have been aware of.

“The Bundaberg Careers Expo is not just for students about to leave school, it is also for those already in the workforce or between jobs who are considering a new career path,” Mayor Blackburn said.

“As our region continues to grow there are many employment pathways available and this free event allows prospective candidates to see what career options are possible both now and in the future.”

The Bundaberg Careers Expo is supported by the Bundaberg Regional Council, Queensland Government’s Jobs Bundaberg and Local Jobs Program, Education Queensland’s Link and Launch program, Strategic HR Supports and Strategic Business Management and Training, CQUniversity, TAFE Queensland, yourtown and Community Lifestyle Support (CLS).
